One of our most popular events of the season is the Gourmet Ski, where participants ski the 6km loop while enjoying fantastic food from around the world. This year's event sold out on Christmas Eve. This season, KNC is glad to offer skate skiing rentals as a new option at the club. The club purchased a small selection of gear that will enable you to add this to your list of New Year's resolutions. Rentals fees are set at $35 for three hours (including your trail pass) making this branch of cross country skiing accessible to anyone who wants to try. Skiers have been out on the trails at the Kimberley Nordic Club (KNC) for weeks, but the club officially opens this Saturday December 21st. Over the last year, the board has been in discussions about the need for a general manager to lead the club into the future. The Kimberley Nordic Racers are back in action this winter, with the first two weekends of racing under their belts. Despite the challenges of training with very little snow on our trails, the team is excited about the upcoming season.
