Monday Jan 22nd- A good day to you All!! The sun is breaking through the cloud, it is a comfortable -3 C and the big groomer is just finishing up on the main trails! Cardiac and Upper Landsom have also been groomed although it doesn't show on the Live Grooming Report. Reports from early morning skiers indicate great conditions for both classic and skate skiing. This is one of the busiest weekends for Kimberley Nordic because we are hosting the Annual Kootenay Cup Races and over two hundred racers are coming from around British Columbia and Alberta. The races are starting at 11:00am on Saturday and 9:30am on Sunday. The recreational trials are still OPEN during the races. The area in front of the lodge will be very busy and the race courses are posted on the website. They are mainly using the three kilometre loop and it's inner trail

I am Chief of Athlete Services for the upcoming Kootenay Cup that will be held on January 13/14. We are changing food services this year and will be serving hot soup that will be provided by Mountain Range. We are however in great need of baking (muffins, cookies). This will be served to the athletes and volunteers on both race days.
