Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone from Kimberley Nordic Club.Lots of new snow, the big and little groomers have been out and you know KNC is one of the prettiest places in the whole valley,,,so get out there and enjoy the groomed trails with friends and have a great time. Happy skiing !! The big groomer has been out but the GPS Tracking and Living Grooming Report is not working totally. Kiosk Attendants will update the Grooming Report during the week. Almost every trail was groomed and trackset on Christmas Day. Enjoy the skiing...let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

GREAT NEWS ! Big machine out grooming today, Monday Dec. 19th !

Great news...Kimberley Nordic received almost a foot of new snow last night and the NEW big machine is out grooming. Bad news, the LIVE GROOMING REPORT has had a hiccup this morning and the great grooming is not showing on the report. But rest assured, lots of new snow and great skiing conditions are to be had. The groomer will stay out until all the major trails are freshly prepared for skiing. Get out there...let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

December 31st. New Years Eve Torch Light Ski

Kimberley Nordic Club annual tradition, New Years Eve Torch Light Ski is on again. Saturday, December 31 at 7 PM - 10 PM Bring in the new year with a ski around the 3.5 km light with candles and torches. Appies, treats and hot beverages will be available in the lodge for apres ski snacking and socializing. This event is a big fund raiser for the Kimberley Nordic Racers. Please think of bringing a cash donation for the racer bucket to help support the teams racing efforts. A truly East Kootenay experience brought to you by KNC and the Nordic Race Team. 2017 Kimberley Nordic Club Clothing Now for Sale.

Kimberley Nordic Club is redesigning the club suits. It is a very long process but after much work we are finally finished the ski suit design. Below is a screen shot of what the suits will look like (though there will still be a few minor changes). The company (Apogee) is the same company as the old suits. Anyone who wants to order suits will need to place their order next week! We therefore need to get the word out ASAP. The sizing of the clothing is the same as 5 years ago, so if you know what size you are already, great, just order that. Volunteers Wanted for Kootenay Cup, Jan. 14th- 15th, 2017.

The annual Kootenay Cup is one of the largest events Kimberley Nordic Club hosts every year. This race weekend brings in over 400 racers from British Columbia and Alberta and seems to be getting bigger every year. The Kootenay Cup Race Committee is now looking for volunteers to help host this great event. No previous experience necessary. Kimberley Nordic Opens this Saturday

The picture above is from last year but Kimberley Nordic Club now has enough snow to ski and officially opens this Saturday. We have been skiing since last weekend and with a little more snow coming down during the week the trail network is in skiable shape. Lights will be on starting Saturday night, lights on until10:00pm. Attendants will be working the Kiosk, starting at 9:00am, selling memberships and for pass pickup. And don't forget the valley's only cross country only Ski Swap on Saturday. Info below. Time to finally get out there. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

KNC XC Ski and Clothing Swap, this Saturday Dec. 3rd.

Ski Swap this Saturday. Clean out your basement and bring up your stuff. Payment for buying equipment can be taken by VISA, MasterCard and cash. Don't forget about the Ski Waxing Service too. $20 per pair and we use LF Race Wax, you know the slippery stuff. Never tried it?...give it a try and the porfits goes to the Kimberley Nordic Racers. We even have a little snow. Kimberley is opening this Saturday. Yes there is enough snow to ski on.
