Program Administrator

Position Overview
The Kimberley Nordic Club (KNC) is hiring a part-time Program Administrator to support our growing ski and biathlon programs. The Program Administrator will work closely with the General Manager, Head Coach, and volunteer coordinators/coaches to offer high quality programs and events to our thriving Nordic community. This position will directly support the delivery of Jack Rabbits, Track Attack, Biathlon, the Adventure Ski Program, the Junior Development Program, the Adult Ski Program, and all associated fundraisers and events.

Roles & Responsibilities
● Assign volunteer opportunities for programs and events
● Assist volunteer coaches and coordinators
● Manage volunteer records and contact information
● Collect program participant feedback
● Purchase and maintain program supplies
● Organize and administer program equipment rentals
● Track and celebrate volunteer contributions
● Communicate clear program information to new participants
● Develop effective volunteer recruitment and retention strategies
● Coordinate volunteers for large-scale community events and race competitions
● Identify grant opportunities specific to program and event support and assist with grant writing application process
● Develop program/event policies and procedures in partnership with the GM and Board of Directors
● Lead program fundraising and sponsorship efforts
● Provide professional development opportunities for our team of dedicated volunteers

Qualifications
● Proficient computer skills (Google Workspace)
● Experience using social media communication platforms
● Experience working within an established operating budget
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● High ethical work standards and the ability to work with minimal supervision
● Administrative experience at a Nordic centre or other recreational facility
● Some experience in Nordic ski programs (preferred)

The Program Administrator will report directly to the General Manager and work in
collaboration with the Head Coach and volunteer Program Coordinators. This is a hybrid role with some remote work - access to a personal computer will be required. Applicants must be available for flexible working hours including week days, evenings and weekends.

Compensation
This is a part-time position (~780 hours annually) with the number of hours worked per week
varying seasonally (20 hours per week October to March, 10 hours per week April to
September). The position offers a salary of $18,000 per year.
