Scotiabank and Kimberley Nordic Partner to Help Local Children Cross Country Ski.
Mark Koenig, Vice-Chair of the Kimberley Nordic Executive, accepts a $3000 Grant cheque on behalf of Kimberley Nordic from Brent Jossy, Branch Manager of Scotiabank in Cranbrook.
The money was raised as part of the earlier registration promotion and will be matched by the club with all proceeds going to the AltaGas Ski at School Program.
The Kimberley Nordic Centre is excited to offer this program through CCC and AltaGas for our local school kids as an opportunity to get involved in the lifetime sport of cross country skiing.
The program will be run by the clubs new head ski coach Tim Wintoniw and local teacher and ski instructor Delia Christianson. We look forward to seeing the kids on the trails this winter.
