MASTERS TRAINING GROUP

Masters Training Group

The Masters Training Group is a community based nordic ski program that offers group training for those looking to improve their skiing technique and challenge themselves at races of various levels. We are excited to support your race ambitions with Kootenay Cups scheduled for next season and the Masters World Cup in Canmore March 3rd - 11th, 2022!

There are two options offered this season with a total of 20 spots available:

  • The Regular Program is four-months long with a focus on group ski sessions and virtual seminars to refine skiing technique. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays with daytime and evening options.

  • The Off-Season Upgrade is an eight-month comprehensive program with all of the benefits of the four-month program plus detailed training and strength plans and technique instruction. Sessions will include group dryland and on-snow sessions, virtual seminars, and independent workouts.

  • Participants in both options should be capable skiers, able to ski at least 20km.

The Masters Training Group will meet Wednesdays throughout the four- and eight-month program options. To best accommodate various work and life schedules, participants can select on-snow sessions mid-day or in the evening. The mid-day training session will meet from 12:00-1:00pm and the evening training sessions will meet from 6:00-7:00pm, or 7:00-8:00pm. Training sessions will include video analysis and feedback, coached technique drills, and technique feedback and suggestions. Additionally, video recorded at sessions will be available for participants to review via Google Drive.
