Trail Crew


The trail network at the Kimberley Nordic Club is an important community resource that provides year-round recreational opportunities to thousands of people. The Kimberley Nordic Club (KNC) is a registered not-for-profit, full service ski club whose goal is fostering nordic skiing as an affordable, life-long winter activity. KNC is the fourth biggest nordic club in Canada, and is situated within minutes of downtown Kimberley.


KNC is looking to hire three keen, hard-working people to work as part of a Trail Crew starting in May and finishing in October 2022.  The application deadline is April 30, 2022.  KNC offers living wages of $15.20 per hour plus bonuses. Trail Crew members will report directly to the Trail Crew Supervisor and work under their guidance. KNC is looking for trail crew members who are:

  • Hard working, enthusiastic and looking to spend time outdoors;

  • Willing to work collaboratively and have a flexible mindset; 

  • Interested in learning about safe tool use, trail work and facilities maintenance; 

  • Avid trail users (nordic skiers, hikers, trail runners, cyclists, etc); and

  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.


The position will include: 

  • Working with KNC trail crew on trail maintenance projects including brushing, surface grading, wood chip spreading, and signage;

  • Evaluating invasive species for treatment operations;

  • Strategic projects in the stadium including moving materials for reconfiguration, drainage, fencing, signage, and wood chip application; 

  • Spring and fall maintenance projects around the lodge, kiosk, wax hut, and garage.
