Racing Program:

Our junior racers train hard, compete and have lots of fun year round beginning in May and continuing through the summer until the following March. The 2009-10 team includes boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 18. The team includes a Track Attack program of 9 to 12 year old skiers as well as an older group. The older group trains together thrice weekly during the summer and four times a week through the fall and winter. Older team members also train on their own in accordance with annual and detailed weekly training plans. Skiers compete at regional, provincial and national events in skate and classic, sprint and distance and individual and team events. Best 2008-09 results included second and fourth place finishes at the Canadian championships in the juvenile category. No skiing experience is necessary to join the team, just a willingness to learn and work hard.
